Wild Rose Pottery Celtic Parchment Tiles

Wild Rose Pottery Celtic Parchment Tiles

Wild Rose Pottery is a family owned and operated pottery located in Canada.  The pottery was established in 1978 by Maureen and Barry Payne.  Maureen received formal pottery training and an Advanced Ceramic Diploma in England prior to relocating to Canada in 1967.  Although not formally trained, husband Barry, daughter Sara, and son Richard possess designing and decorating talents that are an integral part of the pottery making process.

Wild Rose Pottery offers 12 uniquely hand crafted parchment-style Celtic art wall tiles.  Each tile design is based on one of many Ancient Celtic designs and legends.  The original artists’ meanings of these age-old designs may never be known, however, each design is thought to evoke feelings such as wisdom, spirituality, protection, eternity, love, hope, loyalty, and good fortune.  These tiles are made from stoneware clay and are free form, hand torn, mounted on a grooved black stained wood frame, and measure 7 ½”.  Each tile comes with a traditionally-accepted explanation of its design and is gift boxed.
