The 2007 Heritage Piece Irish Pot is a limited edition of 2,000 pieces worldwide and measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
The three-legged cooking pot found in most every Irish cottage over fifty years ago has become a casualty of progress, now mostly confined to museums or used in decorative garden displays. Historically, it was suspended over an open-hearth fire and used for all manner of tasks, from boiling potatoes to boiling clothes. The Irish pot became part of the Belleek product portfolio in the latter years of the 19th Century - its popularity quite likely due to those remembering with fondness the three-legged cooking pot from their native land.
The Irish Pot, eighth edition in the Heritage Collection, is a limited edition of 2,000 pieces worldwide. Each piece is individually numbered and features a special back stamp denoting its year of issue.
