The design for this all weather garden plaque was adapted from a stone found in Kilkenny town, against the wall surrounding St. Canice's cathedral. The cathedral was build in 1280 on the site of the original monastery.
The Irish word, FAILTE, means Welcome in English. a Failte signboard welcomes you as you enter every village and town in Ireland.
